REPAIRS

We are pleased to offer an in house repair service for your jewellery. Our highly skilled resident jeweller can undertake most repairs on the premises and will oversee any external repairs that are required. We carry out a full range of jobs including the re-sizing of rings, chain repairs and replacing lost or damaged stones. Work is carried out to the highest standard and we can perform jobs urgently on request by arrangement.

All sizes of diamonds and other gemstones can be made available with our appro service to allow you to view and select the stones of your choice. We are able to match and have cut any type, size or grade of stone.

A very popular service we offer is the re-modelling of existing jewellery. In consultation with you and following your specifications our resident jeweller can design and recommend changes to original materials to create a new and unique piece. This is a cost effective way of changing your jewellery while keeping the emotional significance of a treasured item.

INSURANCE VALUATIONS

Insurance companies are increasingly asking for proof of ownership and accurate values when dealing with insurance claims. To avoid the disapointment of a claim being refused it is wise to have jewellery valued, especially when the item might need to specified, over a certain value.

We offer the services of a highly experienced valuer who is registered by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF VALUERS.

Valuations can be brought in and collected on the same day removing the need to leave items in the shop overnight.

GIFT VOUCHERS

For those occasions when a gift voucher is suitable we can supply an attractive voucher for any denomination that can be redeemed within a year on any item or service supplied by Tramp Jewellers.

RESTRINGING

We offer a fast restringing service for pearls, beads and costume jewellery.

Pearls can be cleaned and restrung with new or existing clasps and extra pearls can be matched and added to lengthen necklaces and bracelets.

We carry a range of new clasps in gold and silver.

ENGRAVING

There are many occasions when an inscription can personalise an item of jewellery or silver.

We undertake both machine and hand engraving on platinum, gold and silver as well as on other metals. These can range from simple initials to elaborate family crests. We also seal engrave and have a reference book to help you track down your personal crest.
